NEW Kraft Cardstock and Paper!

Hello and good morning! I have another project to share today. I created this for the WorldWin Papers Winter CHA booth using some of the NEW Kraft papers and cardstock.

I have been playing with some mixed media techniques lately. I decided that since I needed to use printed paper sparingly for this assignment, I would go all out with the inks and paints! I started out by spaying the Kraft Gray/Gray 95# paper with various mists. This paper is on the thin side for cardstock, so I expected it to buckle a bit when I got it wet. However, it took the wet products very well with no buckling or warping! (To purchase the NEW papers, call 888-843-6455 to find a store in your area!)

I distressed the paper edges, including punching some areas with a notebook edge punch. I ripped and tore some areas also, and used some ink to add even more distress. I added some bits of printed paper behind the torn areas, and then mounted everything to some of the WorldWin Kraft Chipboard. Since this layout was going to a trade show, I wanted it to have some extra "bulk."

I stamped various background stamps onto the kraft paper. I also added some rub-on text. I did not want to be able to read any of the words, just to have the text bits showing.

The flowers are the best part of this project. I cut them from Kraft Brown/Gray #68 paper. This paper is about the same thickness as computer paper. I die cut my flowers and misted them with various mists. I dried them with a heat tool. The paper became sort of "crinkly and brittle" making them so interesting to work with! It was so easy to shape them and handle them. The paper took on the texture of heavy tissue paper in a way. What a fun product!

I love these "gray-green" flowers. There is something so fun and earthy about them. The beautiful photo we took in Alaska just pops of the page! Thanks for looking!

Mix it Up!

Hi, it's Gini and I have a card to share with you today that uses several of WorldWin's specialty papers.  So this just goes to show that they mix very nice and can add so much texture.  The dark pink is Twist, the cream is Kromekote and the Blue is Elan Metallic.  The all cut so pretty!

Sharing Some CHA Goodness!!!

I wanted to share a really fun card that I did for the booth at CHA using some of the new Twist colors!!! I embossed, die cut and used some foam pop dots for dimension. The colors are perfect for a bright fun card like this!!!

I used a Spellbinders die for the butterflies. The heart embossing folder is Cricut. The little sentiment stamp is Suzy West WOW. I just added some gems to the center of the butterflies.

I also embossed the top circle with a flower folder, also from Cricut. I wanted to use bright colors for this, and Twist comes in a great variety of colors!!!

I hope you enjoyed seeing this! And I hope you check out the wonderful Twist papers for yourself!! Thank you so much for stopping by!!!

Winter Wonderland

Hello! Gloria here today. I made this layout for WorldWin Papers for their Winter CHA booth.

This lovely dark blue cardstock is called Flag Blue and is part of the ColorMates Smooth and Silky line. (The photo was taken by Evelyn DeWald, who is part of my hometown online community. She takes amazing photos of the area around my hometown, located in central Pennsylvania. She graciously allowed me to scrap her photo!)

I did some fake stitching around the edge of the layout, using a white pen and a hole poker thingie. See that scrap of embossed white cardstock? Love that embossing folder! So grunge!

I  used some Spellbinders dies to make a snowflake. I cut Off White and Pale Blue ColorMates Smooth and Silky cardstock and Silver and White Twist. It looks so icy!

I made the title with a Dymo Label Maker.

It is TIME for New Cardstock!

Hello! I am sure everyone is excited about the Craft and Hobby Association Trade Show (CHA) and all the NEW products that will soon appear on store shelves! WorldWin Papers will have a booth at the show...and I will have some projects displayed. I am giving you a sneaky peeky at one project!

It is "time" to see some new cardstock!

WorldWin is releasing some new colors of ColorMates Smooth and Silky, plus they are promoting the Twist collection, and they have added to the Kraft collection!

I created this card using the NEW Flag Blue ColorMates Smooth and Silky. I then embossed the NEW Off White ColorMates Smooth and Silky and rubbed it with some gray ink. Look how great the blue cardstock looks when stamped with white ink! I stamped a clock image and cut it out with a die template.

I cut the clock face and hands from Silver Twist. Twist is like a cardstock version of mulberry paper! Love it! That fantastic flower was made from the 68# kraft paper that is in the new collection! Once you ink and spray this thinner cardstock, it reacts a like thick tissue paper! It is amazing to work with!

Here is a peek at the inside of the card. I stamped with white ink directly on the card base.

I hope that you will enjoy the design peeks coming up the next few weeks. We have been hard at work with the new collections! If you are at CHA, please stop by and visit the WorldWin Papers booth!
